3D eXchanger for AutoCAD

CADMATIC eXchanger for AutoCAD is a free ObjectARX application for AutoCAD.

The CADMATIC eXchanger installation program installs the following:

• eXchanger Out (eXchanger_out.arx)

  The eXchanger_out.arx application handles conversion from AutoCAD to CADMATIC. It converts an AutoCAD database (model) to the CADMATIC 3DC format (binary).

  The 3DC format uses a CADMATIC license, and a 3DC file cannot be read into CADMATIC software without a license.

  In this document, eXchanger Out refers to the eXchanger_out.arx application.

• eXchanger In (eXchanger_in.arx)

  The eXchanger_in.arx application handles conversion from Plant Modeller to AutoCAD. Plant Modeller produces a 3DC file which can be read into AutoCAD. The result is possible to save in DWG format directly by the eXchanger, or the user can save the model in any format that AutoCAD supports.

  3DC file generation in Plant Modeller is under license.

  In this document, eXchanger In refers to the eXchanger_in.arx application.

Note: 3DD (Model Dump File) is an ASCII format of 3DC. For more information on 3DD, see Model dump files (3DD, 3DC).
